Maybe I’m Amazed

(McCartney, 1970)

Live And Let Die

(Wings Single, 1973)

For 40 years, Billy Joel’s songs – Just The Way You Are; She’s Always A Woman; Uptown Girl – have dominated the airwaves. But in 1987, when he became one of the first rock acts to perform in Russia, Billy couldn’t resist including The Beatles’ Back In The USSR! A massive McCartney fan, he admits that, to this day, he still uses Live And Let Die when soundchecking. Billy’s songs for this project mark his return to pop recording after a long absence, although he continues to tour – and, in 2008, became the last act to play at New York’s historic Shea Stadium.
