BRIAN WILSON

BRIAN WILSON

Wanderlust

(Tug Of War, 1982)

As founding genius of the Beach Boys (Help Me Rhonda, California Girls, Good Vibrations), Brian Wilson has enjoyed a friendly rivalry with Paul since the 1960s. The creative maelstrom of that decade saw The Beatles’ Rubber Soul inspire the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds; which, in turn, inspired Revolver… Wilson’s songwriting brilliance has been recognised by Grammy awards, the Gershwin Prize and the Kennedy Center, and he continues to write and perform – recently bringing back to life 1967’s legendary lost Beach Boys’ album, Smile.
